[program subject to changes]

The "Europe" thematic is proposed with the Maison de l'image Basse-Normandie – Pôle regional d'éducation à l'image, regional coordination of "cinéville", which coordinates, with the CREPS of Houlgate and since 2003, a European network for the development of innovative image literacy education projects.

The "experimental cinema and video art" thematic is proposed with the a-ba/association bande annonce, regional coordination of "cinéville" in Languedoc Roussillon (image literacy education, publics consciousness raising, diffusion and programmation of all image forms – cinema "Art et essai", video art, experimental cinema, new images).

Thanks to :
Aye Aye V.O, Centre de Formation d'Animateurs (Brussels), Centre Pompidou (Direction de l'action éducative et des publics), Collectif Jeune Cinéma, Coordination européenne des festivals (atelier éducation à l'image), Docs aux Sels, Du grain à Démoudre, ECM Kawenga, Association EDV, En avant la toute jeune garde !, Maison du geste et de l'image, Saarländisches Filmbüro, YEFF European network, the 26 regional "cinéville" coordinations and the partners who host the "cinéville" meeting : Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles, Centre Pompidou, Centre Louis Lumière.

“cinéville” atypical and multiform national French program for image literacy education outside of school has been existing since 15 years now. Through a constant commitment for the access of all people to cinematographic and audio-visual creation work, whatever social, cultural, or geographical difficulties encountered, it supports and see the development of many courageous interesting or innovating initiatives.

In a national network logic, it seemed essential that these patterns of transmission to a diversity of publics would be shared and reflected with the greatest number: professionals of cinema, cultural and social action, youth, education, artists, institutional representants, workshops participants...
The “cinéville” encounter was born!

AN ENCOUNTER FOR PROFESSIONALS
For this third edition, the “cinéville” encounter opens widely to all French and European image literacy education actors and wishes to explore new tracks:

“Europe”, where image literacy education initiatives multiply. Approaches and contexts, particularly in terms of publics, are different from French dynamics. Europe, within it is essential to weave bonds in spite of languages, distances, cultures or financings obstacles.

“Alternative” images (experimental cinema, video art), which can offer innovating, rough or destabilizing experiences, other languages, other dreams, to publics too used to our world's ultra-formatted images.

“New” partners, because more and more cultural structures whose vocation is not exclusively cinematographic or audiovisual, have a role to play by using the "image literacy education" tool. New partners to go towards new publics!

AN ENCOUNTER FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
AND ADULTS INVOLVED IN THE ACTIONS
Their presence throughout “cinéville” encounter is encouraged, because their point of view on the actions intended to them is essential.
One day is more particularly intended to them. They present their productions, see workshop films carried out by others, discuss and reflect with professionals. Three thematic parts allow to go further into a cinematographic or audiovisual concept, or to better comprehend a genre.

Professionals and participants,
welcome to the “cinéville” encounter!
